Jesse Yelvington is a queer, transmasculine poet and Hufflepuff who uses they/them pronouns, loves cats, and believes in the uniting power of adventure.

Naming the Nameless: An Exploration of Queer Poetry and Empowerment was conceived and completed as Jesse’s undergraduate thesis for their Honors Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts degree at the University of New Mexico Honors College.

[Image description: an assortment of three photos of Jesse. Jesse has light skin, short messy brown hair, glasses, several nose piercings, and facial hair.

Photo one (left): Jesse has their eyes closed and their glasses pushed up a bit as they lean their face into the fur of a grey and brown cat with piqued ears and a cute pink nose. The cat and Jesse are resting together.

Photo two (top right): Jesse is outside, there are pine trees and two hammocks set up behind them. Jesse is holding a camera up in front of their face and taking a picture of whoever is taking this photo. Jesse has a rainbow band tattoo on their arm and is wearing a Spiderman shirt.

Photo three (bottom right): Jesse is outside with a big smile and a very puffy jacket with the hood up. Their hair is flying up a bit in the wind, and behind them is a wide blue sky and a snow covered mountain].
